As bright as it looks that is the actual printing on the shirt. It was amazing. Bright, smooth not a flaw anywhere.

This color wheel shirt was done when the process was still relatively new, February 2006. The quality has improved considerably as you can see from the example above.

The white edge around the color wheel is because the edge was not completely opaque so the white underlayer shows through partially transparent pixels. See the article on designing for printing on dark apparel on how to detect and avoid this problem.
